WITCH CASTLE BLISS/TIA NOVA
WITCH CASTLE BLISS
This darkly fun trio of troubadours is made up of three singer-songwriters with diverse backgrounds and musical influences. Accordionist Willow Rutherford, cellist Alyssa Wright and guitarist Brian MacLean blend classical, metal, cabaret, jazz, folk and pop into narrative waves ranging from quirky to heartbreak to horror.
These three musical friends came together for a "one off" show in 2025 that proved to be anything but -- because they had too much fun working together, and also because of the enthusiastic response to the trio's unique blend of original music and irresistible stage experience. Witch Castle Bliss has since performed on stages and in venues around central Ontario, including being featured performers at the Midland Cultural Centre's Folk & Blues Collective, and the "Between Sets" Spotlight Series in Barrie. Upcoming highlights include a live concert recording for Preservation Studio this fall.

TIA NOVA
Whether or not you've seen her before, once you do, she's an artist you'll never forget.
Tia Nova is a Canadian pop-rock singer-songwriter from Barrie, Ontario, known for being a true powerhouse on stage, and always decked out in sparkles — or purple. Her performances are bold, unforgettable, and full of pure energy.
Tia’s original songs come from real emotion — written as a way to release what she feels, while giving listeners a place to relate, connect, and see themselves in her music. Her voice is powerful, her energy is unstoppable, and every performance reflects the heart and passion she brings to everything she does. For her, this isn't just a hobby or a dream — but a reality yet to come driven by her strong passion for music and the stage.

Events hosted by Preservation Studio are hybrid concerts/live recording sessions. Our aim is to present and document some of the amazing music happening within your community!

We work with local venues and arts organizations to put on performances featuring artists from the community. Tickets are available for $25.00.

We believe in the importance of music and creating paid opportunities for artists. Ontario (and more broadly Canada) is home to many amazing musicians. Our goal is to showcase them!

For now, the recording session is intended to document the performance while providing the artist with a high-quality recording that they can use as they wish. In the future we aim to create and sell CDs, and are working on a subscription mailing list that distributes recordings of local artists across Ontario.

At the moment we are running events as small pop-ups. In the future we plan to expand our services by selling CDs directly, and creating a mail subscription list. As always our goal is to support musicians as much as possible! To that end a portion of every CD and subscription sold will be paid out to the artist. We also plan to register as a not-for-profit.
